      Vista Square Elementary is located in Chula Vista, CA.  The school garden was constructed in 1997.  Raised beds are an important part of this school garden.

     The garden is designed with raised beds. Sweet corn is being grown in one of the beds. Sweet corn must be grown in "stands" or in a group in order to pollinate.
