Purpose/Interests of Organization:
Create a natural greenway and open space park system in the San Dieguito River Valley. Protect and preserve the biological and cultural resources of the San Dieguito River Valley; provide compatible recreational and educational opportunities for the San Diego region, including a trail for hikers, bicylists and equestrians extending 55 miles from the ocean to the river's source on Volcan Mtn.

Authority for Organization if part of a governmental process (Federal, State or Local regulation).
Local government agency formed as a joint powers authority by the County of San Diego and the Cities of Del Mar, Escondido, Poway, San Diego and Solano Beach.
